This is an important gear-shifting phase, but you'll probably feel a little tentative or self-protective at times as you intuitively gauge where your priorities lie and how best to move forwards. You may be more conscious of the material/financial aspects of a situation, but as your attention is drawn inwards for a bit, you will tend to be more influenced by your emotional responses which you will tend to keep a lid on, just try to avoid allowing a passing mood to rule your decisions.

Its also likely you'll have to tread carefully with certain people but there may be something you value that you rely upon someone else to provide, (whether you like it or not), and you, in a way have to dance to their tune. After midmonth you should get a clearer perspective.

Until the 8th places and faces at a distance may appeal to you more than usual and a love relationship or friendship could revolve around travel, a foreign culture, or an educational or advice-giving environment. Someone you in relationship with can help you see the bigger picture. Publications or communications across a wider stage could encourage a relationship or benefit you materially.

From the 8th authority figures will tend to see you in a good light and an ally - possibly a female figure you respect - proves invaluable to your success or at least, facilitates you in some way. Someone could play a supportive role to your making a move in the right direction or create a good impression in the right places at the right time or with bureaucracy or others you wish to get onside. Some of you may have more positive interaction with parents or guardians at this time.

Until midmonth discussions and ideas may have to incorporate the requirements of others and you might be thinking more deeply about things, taking confidential advice - or giving it, and perhaps 'sensing' more than thinking at times as intuitive knowing will be activated. Emotions will be more sensitive too and a relationship may touch you quite deeply or, on the flip side, it's probably easier for someone to push your buttons. Just trust your gut and try to avoid emotional knee-jerk reactions which get you nowhere. You may be preoccupied with finances, property matters or anything you share or have a joint interest in with another.

This is actually a great time for strategic thinking and mapping out a game-plan but also for research and quietly plotting and planning for the future. Deeper investigations, psychological or intuitive insight may also manifest through you. So, a favourable time to look beneath the surface of things as well as look within yourself too and maybe ditch whatever or whoever is no more than an empty habit. Also the right time to have a de-clutter as you are shifting gears from one stretch of road to the next just now.
Until July the Mars transit will activate the communications sector and social life can be pretty demanding at times, at least you could be mixing and mingling or flying hither and thither more than usual for business or personal reasons. Also getting your head around many things which tax your brain and sometimes your patience! In Feb and March, Mars is retrograde which puts the brakes on or means indecision or distractions could have you feeling scattered and wondering which way to go. Clarity or a definite direction seems to elude you and your patience may be wearing thin. Not a time for huge victories though. Better to be satisfied with winning small battles rather than the whole war. Mars goes direct in April at which time you should feel more confident about pursuing a particular idea.

Overall however the Mars transit is a great time for developing speaking and writing skills, connecting with and getting to know others in person or over the wires, and being very much in the flow of information exchange. So you'll probably be learning a lot. But there is also a practical slant to all this potential movement and you will want to be realistic and careful as you go forwards. You could have a lot of lists on your mind and feel scattered, nervy or overstretched at times. The way you communicate could be seen as provocative or bossy as you may be wanting to get things off your chest express yourself in a more assertive or enterprising manner. You could find some people are aggressive in the way they come across towards you.

From the 19th you'll be in a more outgoing mood and ready to check-out fresh possibilities and launch into things.

THE SLOWER MOVING PLANETS:

Jupiter, now in Taurus, is likely to expand your social circle, bring new friendships, get you involved more in group efforts and social networking until next June. This move of Jupiter will help you make progress with long-awaited hopes and dreams and maybe get you thinking futuristically and unconventionally in certain areas of your life. Friendships and team efforts will help you get a better perspective or teach you a lot.
Until Autumn 2012 the Saturn transit will affect family relationships and the home-base. Those in your inner circle or neighbourhood may demand more responsibility from you. There could be slow-downs in these areas or property matters and it may be harder to reach your overall life goals due to resistance coming from others, adverse trends, past attachments which seem to hold you back or even your own knee-jerk responses which are counter-productive to progressing smoothly towards achieving your master plan. Re-contouring aspects of the home-base or changing it altogether may be part of this transit.

There's a value in this which you may not fully realize just now but you will further down the line and that could mean months or years hence. That's not to say you won't be aware of growth at the moment, in fact you could feel really pleased about what you are discovering about your deeper emotional needs and conditioning. Uranus will be transiting the top of your chart for many years. New beginnings with career and life-direction will occur over this 7 year transit. Change and expansion through use of new and unusual methods may be a governing factor on the public side of life. A previous structure may be replaced by a new array of options and you'll have to be flexible and adapt to a sometimes inspirational, yet unusual environment. You may feel ambushed from time to time too and it's important to roll with the changes.

This month Uranus will be affecting those of you born 22nd-26th June or with up to the first 5 degrees of Cancer rising.

Neptune has been in Aquarius since 1998 meaning sometimes blurred boundaries or lack of control over finances, property or other resources because you partly had to rely on someone else's rules or requirements. Also maybe confusion about inheritance or your deeper feelings towards another.
Finally Neptune moves into its home sign Pisces on Feb 4th. Early Cancerians will feel the beneficial effect of this long Neptune transit.
